Group Fitness Instructor
Decatur, TX Decatur, TX Part-time Part-time $15 an hour $15 an hour This position has a base pay and additional pay per class taught.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) High school diploma or GED preferred; 2) Possess a current Group Exercise Instructor Certificate from one of the following organizations:
NASM, ACSM, ACE, AFAA, SCW or a specialized certification (ie; Zumba, Spin, etc.
) OR an Aquatic Fitness Professional certification from AEA or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire 3) CPR New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required CPR certification.
SUMMARY OF
Responsibilities:
The group exercise instructor will conduct an instructional fitness program (instruct / lead an exercise class) aimed at improved strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness through a variety of exercises using various exercise equipment.
The instructor should possess a working knowledge of physical fitness and conditioning / training, including body processes, muscle groups, and body mechanics; have a clear understanding of maintaining, cleaning, and storing all equipment and supplies associated with group exercise programs.
The instructor should provide a friendly and inviting experience and possess the ability to incorporate personality and communication, personal physical ability, voice projection, etc.
as prescribed by FIT N WISE as suggested by AEA/ ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) guidelines into the fitness program.
